During a week long press tour in May, a tremendous team of young people did an absolutely amazing job of holding three press conferences and having me ready for an impressive number of media appearances.
I felt humbled and honored by these tremendous professionals I was surrounded with.
Here, I would like to introduce them:
Ivan Friscic, stylist – every piece of clothing he got for me was perfect in every way – fit, color and style. I felt like I was a doll he was dressing – a doll that he handled with respect and desire to keep her as beautiful, young and innocent as she is in his memory. Ivan became a fashion-editor-in-chief of the magazine “Extra” just as we were starting the tour.
Zvonimir Franic, hair – he treated not only my hair, but styled it with respect to who I am as a person. Zvone is barely 21 years old and already the head stylist at GT Kerastase Salon in Zagreb.
Ivana Hotti, make up – she is a tremendous young woman who kept saying: “You just need to look fresh” – even after five days of sleeping three hours on average. Her work is flawless. Ivana is planning to do her postgraduate study at Columbia University.

The pink dress was made by Linea Exlusive
Linea Exclusive, wardrobe – Daniela Car and her daughter Irina are two very successful and stylish women who actually made the famous orange dress for me in 1990. Their whole team of seamstresses worked to complete the dresses for different media appearances and photo shoots. Their dresses are gorgeous!
Bojana Burnac, camera ‘girl’ – Bojana is such an interesting and talented cinematographer and director. She took a lot of footage to document the entire week. I enjoyed laughing (and crying) for her… but mostly I enjoyed learning about her story – her art, her travels, and discovery of her free diving skills.
Davor Draskovic, security and trip coordinator – Davor is an old friend of mine. His and my mom went to school together. On the way home from Split to Zagreb, Davor sang for three and a half hours straight pulling up songs from all different music genres and eras… We had such a great time.
Mihovil Bek – Miha, press manager – Miha is just awesome. He works tirelessly and has a discipline and a heart to turn any dream into reality. He got his Masters degree in management just a few months ago. He was four when he “wrote” me a fan letter.
Andie Bernard, my publicist – Andie fit so well into our all-Croatian team. She was so excited to visit Ljubljana, Belgrade and Split – loved the sea. She even had a chance to taste some great food this time around.
Vero Rent-a-Car – provided us an economy car to travel in and we felt good about their commitment to give back to the environment organizations to keep the air clean.
There was a family near Split (my mom’s friend) who opened up their ‘bed and breakfast’ for us to crash overnight. But they gave us more than lodging – the welcome was straight from their hearts: with homemade wine, prosciutto and cheese and time spent with each other, however short it might have been.
We worked hard, but we laughed, cried, sat and ate together – and that’s what the whole thing is all about – the true meaning of “Ludujemo s dusom” tour…
